ECHAGUE, Isabela (April 22)—The Isabela State University (ISU) hosts a two-day research webinar to help faculty members, researchers and graduate students improve their writing skills on April 21-22.
Also organized by ISU, the webinar titled “The Art of Article Writing, Documenting Sources and Literature Mapping” was endorsed by Dr. Tirso Ronquilo, Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges president.
Ronquilio said the webinar is an applied workshop for faculty members, researchers and graduate students to become effective and efficient researchers.
He said the webinar includes an activity that allows participants to apply the learned techniques in writing a research article.
Dr. Georgina Dioses, ISU Training Institute director, said topics during the seminar include tips in doing action research; journal article writing; tips on writing journal articles; literature mapping, paraphrasing and citation; and statistical tools and techniques.
Dioses said the webinar via zoom was spearheaded by the ISU University Professional Development and Training Institute and is the first training conducted by the institute for the year 2021.
