Padilla, Gambito vow for unified governance in NVizcaya

BY LEANDER C. DOMINGO

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (June 11)—Incumbent Gov. Carlos Padilla and Vice Governor-elect Jose Gambito usher in a new breed of politics in the province as they constantly talk of unity inspired by President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio’s UniTeam.

Padilla has welcomed the gesture of support and political unity from Gambito. Padilla and Gambito came from different political affiliations but promised to deliver good governance in the province under a unified leadership.

Padilla said it is important to have a supportive legislative department or provincial board, particularly in authorizing the provincial government’s annual local expenditure program to roll out and facilitate various programs, projects and initiatives.

“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s support is crucial in the needed authorizations for the office of the local executive department to implement development initiatives and address various socioeconomic concerns of the province,” he added.

With this, Padilla said the initial meeting of the provincial government’s legislative-executive council is being proposed to lay down and tackle the development agenda for the province.
