BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (August 7)—The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently gave free vegetable seeds to farmers in Barangay Bansing here.

Edwin Algeria, Agrarian Reform Program Officer for Program Beneficiaries officer in charge, said the assorted vegetable seeds were given to 30 farmers who recently attended a 25-sessions of Farm Business School (FBS).

He said the FBS program is an innovative educational framework of the DAR to support farmers in gaining knowledge and enhancing their abilities in entrepreneurship and farm business management skills.

Barangay Kagawad Gabriel Umahoc, member of the Highland’s Agroforestry Agriculture Cooperative said the training and vegetable seeds will be of great help for them.

“We thank all DAR officials and employees who contributed to this activity, for the assistance and training you provided to enhance our capacity towards higher productivity and will improve our quality of lives,” he said.
