QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (November 1, 2023)—Commitment to excellence in metallurgy, FCF Minerals Corp. joined the Metallurgical Conference 2023 hosted by the Society of Metallurgical Engineers in the Philippines (SMEP), in Boracay Island, Malay town in Aklan on October 18-21, 2023.
Engr. Geoffrey Ray Nablo, FCF Minerals’ Process Plant Operation superintendent, shared his expertise on Bio-Oxidation Theory and Engineering at the conference.
The FCF delegation included Engr. Jamie Jane Apolonio, Engr. Christopher Magaoay, Engr. Lemuel Gabaisen, Engr. Stelle Baccay, Engr. Sophia Ly, and Engr. Evanghelus Castil Jr., who also participated in discussions on various topics.
Topics at the conference with the theme, “Adopting Metallurgical Engineering to Industry 5.0: Innovations, Opportunities, and Challenges amidst Uncertainties” included sustainable metallurgy, innovative metallurgical processes, quality control, and career development within the industry.
At the same event, Engr. Magaoay, Process Plant Operations supervisor took his oath to become a newly appointed Metallurgical Plant Foreman.
According to Rhodalyn Arcebal, FCF Information, Education and Communication supervisor, said the conference provided a platform for sharing knowledge, discussing advancements and fostering collaboration in the ever-evolving world of metallurgy.
