DPWH wraps P4M worth Kakidugen-Catarawan road project

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, May 4 (PIA) – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the Kakiduguen-Catarawan Road Project for farmers and tourists in Kasibu town.

Engr. Glen Miguel, DPWH District 2 chief, said the project has a length of 0.859 kilometers, measuring 2-lane by 3.5 meters by 200 millimeters thick PCCP with 30.00 cubic meters stone masonry slope protection structure.

“Thousands of residents in the municipality of Kasibu will now experience ease in travel and transport of local products. This will also boost local tourism in the province,” he said.

Miguel said this P4 million project will benefit upland farmers with an improved road network that will provide faster and safer transport of vegetables and fruits.

He said the project will also improve the socio-economic conditions of residents within the area providing convenience and safety access to the local’s essential needs as well as agricultural trade activities.

The project is one of the Build Build Build program accomplishments of the national government.
