FCF Minerals Corp receives two ASEAN mineral awards in Cambodia

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (November 24, 2023)—FCF Minerals Corporation received two prestigious Association of Southeast Asian (ASEAN) Mineral Awards (AMA) in Cambodia in recognition of its outstanding best practices in sustainable mineral development.

Rodalyn Arcebal, FCF Information, Education and Communication supervisor, said FCF won the AMA in the Mineral Mining (Metallic) category as first runner-up and in the Mineral Processing (Metallic) category as second runner-up.

Arcebal said the awarding ceremony was held during a gala dinner at the 3rd ASEAN Mineral Awards Ceremony of the 9th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Minerals in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on November 23, 2023.

Cambodia Secretary of State, Ministry of Mine and Energy, Ung Eang and ASEAN Secretary General, Dr. Kao Kimhourn, conferred the awards to Lorne Harvey, FCF Minerals Corporation general manager for operations.

Harvey received the award together with Mary Jane Moral, FCF Senior Hydrogeologist, lawyer Rowena Marcos, FCF legal counsel, and Agnes Rosales, FCF Community Relations manager, and others on behalf of Engineer Geoffrey Ray Nablo, FCF Process Plant superintendent.

Also at the awarding ceremonies were AMA representatives from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Central Office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Arcebal said the prestigious AMA is an initiative of the ASEAN mining ministers to recognize best practices and exemplary models in sustainable mineral mining, processing and distribution among its various member countries.

Harvey expressed congratulations to the FCF Minerals Corporation community for this very proud accomplishment and for achieving its vision of being the most admired gold producer in the Philippines.
