FCF Minerals Corp, BFP Quezon team up for emergency preparedness drill

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (February 8, 2024)—FCF Minerals Corporation joined forces with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Quezon Chapter to execute a comprehensive earthquake and fire emergency drill at the Runruno Gold Project (RGP) site.

Rodalyn Arcebal, FCF Information, Education and Communication (IEC) supervisor, said the primary objective of this collaborative effort was to assess employees’ level of preparedness.

“The activity also aims to enhance the overall competency of the employees in handling emergencies and simulate realistic scenarios to ensure an effective response in times of crisis,” Arcebal said.

She said the drill witnessed robust participation from various departments within the company, including Warehouse, Intertek and Site Civil.

Lorne Harvey, FCF Minerals Corp. general manager for operation, said the active involvement underscores FCF Minerals Corporation’s steadfast commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of its workforce.

Harvey also emphasized the significance of proactive emergency preparedness measures in mitigating potential risks and ensuring a secure working environment.
