Covid-19 claims 6th death in Vizcaya, 25 new cases

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 5)—Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) has claimed another fatality, bringing the death toll in this province to six.

Dr. Edwin Galapon, Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief, confirmed the latest fatality as CV 854, a 50-year-old male from Purok 2, Lactawan, Solano town.

He said CV 854 died yesterday at 3.35 p.m. at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC) with severe pneumonia.

Galapon also announced that 25 new cases came in today bringing the total active cases in the province to 126 active cases as of posting.

“Our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Again, we are reiterating everyone to practice minimum health protocols to prevent infection of this deadly virus,” he warned.

The new cases are CV 888, a 10-year-old male from Quezon, Solano with her mother, CV 790 and CV 785, a coach at a certain fitness gym in Solano. He was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 889, 27-year-old male from Quirino, Solano with exposure to a positive case at a certain fitness gym in Solano. He experienced Covid-19 symptoms (sore throat and colds) on August 31 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 890, 82-year-old male from Gaddang St., Poblacion South, Solano with exposure to his wife, CV 816 and father of CV 875. He was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 891, experienced Covid-19 symptoms on August 23 and was swabbed on September 2. She is currently at the Barangay Dadap, Solano Quarantine Facility.

CV 892, 8-year-old female from Purok 2, San Luis, Solano with exposure to grandparents CV 793 and CV 669. She was swabbed on September 1 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 900, 46-year-old male from Dumlao, Salvacion, Bayombong with exposure to a close contact of a positive case. He was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 901, 29-year-old female from Del Pilar, District IV, Bayombong with exposure to a close contact of a positive case. She experienced Covid-19 symptoms (cough and loss of sense of smell) and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 902, 30-year-old male from Bagahabag, Solano with exposure to his wife, CV 901. He experienced Covid-19 symptoms (cough, body pain, loss of sense of smell) on August 30 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 904, 20-year-old male from Purok 7, Magsaysay, Bayombong with exposure to his father, CV 806. He was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 905, 18-year-old male Purok 7, Magsaysay, Bayombong with exposure to his father, CV 806 and brother of CV 904. He was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 906, 30-year-old male from Purok Caloocan, Gabut, Dupax del Sur. His history of exposure is possible due to the nature of his job as credit analyst and his travels to Solano and Bayombong. He experienced Covid-19 symptoms (fever, body weakness, cough and loss of sense of smell) on August 31 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 907, 54-year-old female from Pogonsino, Bagabag with no travel history and her exposure is yet to be determined. She is a Midwife of the Rural Health Unit of Bagabag. She experienced cough on August 26 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 908, 39-year-old female from Maddiangat, Quezon. Her history of exposure is yet to be determined. The patient went to a certain money remittance outlet at Solano on August 17. She experienced fever on August 29 and was swabbed on September 2. She is currently at a quarantine facility.

CV 909, 29-year-old male from Roxas, Solano with exposure to his father, CV 668 and cousin, CV 812. She was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 910, 34-year-old female from Kirang, Aritao. Her history of exposure is yet to be determined but from the information forwarded, she is a Nurse at Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital. She experienced Covid-19 symptoms (cough, cold, sore throat) on August 29 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 911, 34-year-old female from Umaguing St., La Torre South, Bayombong with exposure to CV 787. She attended sessions at a certain fitness gym in Solano. She was swabbed on September 2 and remains asymptomatic as of posting.

CV 912, 64-year-old male from Purok 5, Bagahabag, Solano. He was admitted to Salubris Medical Center on August 28 was transferred to R2TMC on September 3.

CV 913, 9-year-old female from Roxas, Solano with exposure to her mother, CV 832. She experienced cough on September 1 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 914, 44-year-old male from Yogad St., Poblacion South, Solano. He is a Nursing Attendant at Salubris Medical Center and brother of CV 915. He experienced Covid-19 symptoms (cough and cold) on September 2 and was swabbed on September 3.

CV 915, 48-year-old male from Roxas, Solano. He experienced fever and cough on August 27. He underwent Rapid Diagnostic Test on August 29 and turned out positive. He was swabbed on September 3 and the result came out positive for the virus. He is also the brother of CV 914.

CV 916, 12-year-old female from Poblacion South, Solano with exposure to grandparents CV 816 and CV 890. She is the daughter of CV 875. She experienced Covid-19 symptoms (cough and cold) on August 24 and was swabbed on September 3.

CV 917, a 46-year-old male from Roxas, Solano with exposure to his niece, CV 812 and brother, CV 668. He experienced colds on August 28 and was swabbed on September 3.

CV 918, a 42-year-old male from Leyva St., Roxas, Solano with exposure to her partner, CV 832 and his brother, CV 862. He experienced cough on September 1 and was swabbed on September 2.

CV 919, 8-year-old male from Leyva St., Roxas, Solano with exposure to his parents CV 918 and CV 832. He experienced colds on September 1 and was swabbed on September 3.

CV 920, a 1-year-old male from Leyva St., Roxas, Solano with exposure to his parents CV 918 and CV 832. He experienced colds on September 3 and was swabbed on the same day.
