BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya (August 15)—The local government unit here in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will be putting-up an Integrated Skills Development Training and Livelihood Center (ISDTLC) in Barangay San Antonio South.
Socorro Galanto, TESDA provincial chief, said the ISDTLC will address the need for technical skills among various stakeholders in the municipality.
She said the ISDTLC will also assist the villagers in venturing into various business endeavors to uplift their economic status.
“We have visited a possible area for this project in Bambang and our local officials are very supportive because it will benefit their constituents,” Galanto said.
She said the marginalized sector and farmers will benefit from the project through the provision of scholarship grants and other assistance.
The project will be carried out with the initial construction of a two-classroom training center, an administrative office and a demonstration farm, Galanto added.
Mayor Pepito Balgos, urged the TESDA officials that the project will be established at the Agri-Tourism and Learning Site located as the activities of their demonstration farm are similar to the agency’s project proposal.
