BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (April 25)— Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer, said four additional dialysis centers will be put up in the provincial government-managed hospitals.

Galapon said the dialysis centers will be put up at the Dupax District Hospital (DDH), Lt. Tidang Memorial Hospital (LTMH), Kasibu Municipal Hospital (KMH) and Diadi Emergency Hospital (DEH).

“Additional dialysis centers will be established in our provincial local government unit hospitals to cater to the growing patients needing this treatment,” he said.

Galapon said additional dialysis machines are expected to be established this year amid the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

He said the provincial government will be buying more dialysis machines to address the demand of Novo Vizcayano patients needing such medical treatment.

“At present, we only have 10 hemodialysis machines stationed at the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital in Bambang town,” Galapon said.

With this new development, five units of dialysis machines will be put up in DDH to cater to poor patients needing this treatment, he added.

Governor Carlos Padilla said the purchase of dialysis machines is one of the health equipment included in the provincial government’s priority list under its health care programs and projects.
