VICE GOV. JOSE “TAM-AN” TOMAS JR.

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (October 1)—Vice Governor Jose “Tam-an” Tomas Jr. has filed his certificate of candidacy (COC), this time for the local chief executive post in this province.

“Today marks the beginning of a path to a destination God has prepared me for,” Tomas said adding that today’s first hour he filed his COC for governor of the province of Nueva Vizcaya.

He said he begins the first day of October with a renewed hope of working hard for a better future for all Novo Vizcayanos which he has been doing in the past and at present.

“Others may criticize us for being ‘atat’ or impatient, but I have always believed never to delay important matters, like this noble work of serving the public with all our energy,” Tomas said.

He added that this is one of the principles he has lived with for him to reach the success he has now.

“We have done so much in less than three years [as vice governor], but I believe we can do so much more. We have poured so much sweat, blood and tears in fighting for quality public service—the best quality for the people of Nueva Vizcaya and beyond,” Tomas said.

“We have bled and we have been wounded fighting against corruption, but we do not stop there until we achieve good governance: a government that will become the spring that flows waters of welfare and good for the people,” he added.

He said he cannot predict the result and that he may not know what lies at the end “but I hold on to His promise in Romans 8:28 [which says] that ‘God works for the good of those who love Him, those who are called according to his purpose’.”
