FCF Minerals gives recognition to 30 ALS graduates, learners

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya—The FCF Minerals Corporation here gave recognition to 30 Accreditation & Equivalency (A&E) graduates and learners during the recently held Graduation/Moving Up, Completion and Opening Program of the Runruno Alternative Learning System (ALS).

James Carmichael, FCF Minerals country manager, said the activity aims to recognize exemplary performance of learners and facilitators as well as to award certificates of completion, learning progress report cards to completers of Basic Literacy Program, A&E and E-learning Programs.

The FCF Community Relations Office (FCF-CRO) Education Section and Literacy Facilitators spearheaded the said activity in collaboration with officials of Barangay Local Government Unit of Runruno and the Department of Education.

FCF-CRO said new ALS enrollees were also invited to witness the activity to get motivated and continue with what they have started so that one day they will be one of the graduates.

The Graduation/Moving Up, Completion and Opening Program of the Runruno Alternative Learning System (ALS) were held on November 25 and November 26, 2021 at Sitio Atan and Barangay Runruno Multi-Purpose Hall respectively.

Owned 100 percent by the British Metals Exploration Plc, FCF operates the national government-sanctioned Runruno Gold-Molybdenum Project under an agreement with the government that has an initial validity of 25 years.

Located around 300 kilometers north of Manila, FCF expects to produce at its mine site an estimated 1.3 million ounces of gold for 10 years in Runruno village.
