QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (April 16)—To assist FCF Minerals Corporation to achieve its environmental goals, Synergized Macro Solutions, Inc. (SMS) conducted a two-day course on Effective Internal Environmental Management System (EMS) Auditing for the company’s employees.
The training was facilitated by Criselda Garcia, SMS management systems consultant, on April 4-5, 2022.
Garcia said the needed training aims to provide participants with additional knowledge and skills in conducting EMS audits specifically in planning, preparing and conducting internal EMS and follow-up audits.
James Carmichael, FCF Minerals Corp country manager, the company’s representatives in the training were those employed at the Mine Environmental Protection and Enhancement Office, Occupational Safety and Health Department, Community Relations Office, Site Services, Mining and Process Plant Operations.
Carmichael explained that through this training, FCF will be able to achieve its environmental goals through consistent review, evaluation, and improvement of its environmental performance.
