BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (June 11)—The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Region 2 awarded more than 1,500 land titles to qualified recipients in the Cagayan Valley region.
Gwendolyn Bambalan, DENR Region 2 director, said the majority of the land titles were already distributed to various stakeholders in Cagayan Valley in celebration of the country’s Environment Month and the agency’s 35th founding anniversary.
She said the land title distribution is being held under the Handog Titulo program of the DENR under the leadership of acting secretary Jim Sampulna.
“The distribution of land titles is in support of the government’s program called ‘Pamana sa Mamamayang Pilipino: A Duterte Legacy’,” Bambalan said.
Bambalan said more titles will be distributed to qualified recipients in the provinces of Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya on Monday, June 13, and in Cagayan and Isabela provinces on Tuesday, June 14.
“We were able to fast track the resolution of several land cases in the region through the Handog Titulo program under the Land Administration and Management Program of the DENR,” Bambalan said
