BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 9, 2025)—The Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) of Nueva Vizcaya is on track to meet its 2025 local revenue collection target, with strong performance reported in the first eight months of the year.

Provincial Treasurer Rhoda Moreno reported that as of July 2025, the province had already achieved 92 percent local revenue collection efficiency.

From locally sourced revenues, the province collected P258,410,171, which accounts for 91.90 percent of its annual target of P281,160,674. Collection from external sources reached P1,423,448,610 or 63.37 percent of the projected amount.

“In July alone, our overall collection efficiency reached 66.54 percent, with total revenue collections amounting to approximately P1.68 billion,” Moreno said.

She attributed the strong collection performance to continuing fiscal reforms and institutional innovations, particularly the full automation of the revenue collection process through the Revenue Collection System (RCS) developed in partnership with the Provincial Information Technology Division.

“The RCS has significantly improved efficiency, accuracy, and transparency since its implementation. It enables real-time tracking and reporting of revenue collection activities, enhancing public transparency and strengthening taxpayer trust,” Moreno noted.

Due to these reforms, the Bureau of Local Government Finance recently recognized the Nueva Vizcaya PTO as the Top Real Property Tax Collector and Top Collector of Locally Sourced Revenues in terms of collection efficiency.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan also passed a resolution commending the PTO for its outstanding performance in revenue collection.

“We will continue striving for excellence and efficiency in fulfilling our duties to contribute to the province’s development. We are especially grateful for the unwavering support and leadership of Governor Jose Gambito, who has been instrumental in championing our fiscal reforms,” Moreno added. PIA
