THE newly designated Regional Executive Director of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 has called for responsive public service delivery, strengthened stakeholders engagement, and promotion of employee welfare.

During his first meeting with regional office personnel, Director Ismael Manaligod emphasized that effective governance is a shared responsibility and cannot rest on leadership alone.
He stressed that every DENR employee plays a vital role in delivering efficient, responsive, and accountable services to the public.
“We need to strengthen our field offices and adopt a more proactive approach in engaging stakeholders, as the public now expects faster and more responsive government action. Even small actions matter and must always reflect integrity and professionalism,” said Manaligod, a lawyer by profession.

The regional environment chief underscored the need to streamline processes to address delays and difficulties experienced by clients, while ensuring strict compliance with environmental laws and policies.
Manaligod directed the review of existing regulations and workflows to improve efficiency, fairness, and transparency in service delivery.
He also emphasized the importance of employee health, wellness, and engagement with management. (PR)
