TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan—Governor Manuel Mamba led the blessing of four heavy equipment for infrastructure projects in the province recently.

Mamba is confident this will further address a streamlined process aimed to boost Cagayan’s economic progress and will upgrade the services of the government to the residents.

Mamba said the continuous rehabilitation and construction of road networks would spur the local economy and help in the upliftment of the lives of the villagers.

Mamba said in an interview the amount used in the procurement of the four heavy equipment came from the P55 million savings—the first equipment were earlier distributed in March under his administration’s “No Barangay/Town Left Behind Program.”

To date, there are 84 units of heavy equipment in the province utilized in the villages.

The equipment will be used for the reparation of the municipal and barangay roads and other projects of the province, he added.

From the data of the Cagayan Provincial Information Office, the brand new equipment were Straight Bulldozer (P8,168,000); Semi-U Bulldozer (P8,268,000); Backhoe Loader (P3,998,000); and 500L Fuel Tanker (P3,415,000).

Meanwhile, Engr. Stanley Tungcul of the Provincial Engineering Office- Motorpool Division said, the amount of the was P23 million, citing its operation apart from FMRs (farm-to-market roads), road network and maintenance of the provincial roads.

Mamba said the program would ensure that every corner of Cagayan gets a fair share of support from the Provincial Government to propel its advancement and growth. (MST)
