This type of malicious act doesn’t only elicit fear, panic, and confusion in a county that’s already desperately lagging behind its vaccination rate—-and it can lead to the deaths of hundreds of unvaccinated people. By depriving many of our countrymen, who are poor, the chance to be vaccinated, the false information being spread in these challenging times is tantamount to criminality. The damage that anti-vaxxers can inflict on our people can have the same impact of terrorism. Vaccination is the only scientifically proven method to protect the poorest of the poorest and they are depriving them of this essential medical need.
It’s time for the real experts to be seen and heard as they get to the root cause of vaccine hesitancy in the Philippines. Vaccination is the most powerful key to end the COVID-19 pandemic— let the various medical associations of the country convince you!
