BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (August 19)—The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Office (PDRRMO) here has assisted in the acquisition of various facilities to boost the province’s resources and sustained efforts to fight coronavirus disease 209 (Covid-19).

Robert Corpuz, PDRRM officer, said they have facilitated the proposal for the two units of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – standard one story health facilities container van with one swabbing booth.

“This will help alleviate the daily operational challenges during this time of pandemic particularly in Dupax District Hospital,” Corpuz said.

He also bared that they have facilitated the provision of specimen collection booth (SCB) from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Department of Health (DOH).

The SCB was turned over to the Provincial Integrated Health Office early this month.

Corpuz said they have already procured at least 10,300 units of PPEs from the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the DOST in Cagayan Valley where the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC) was given 5,000 units of PPEs for use of its frontline health workers.

He made the report during the recent Provincial COVID-19 Task Force meeting at the Pasalubong Center in this town.
