Chinese consulate donates 10 tons of rice

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: Through its consulate office in Laoag City in Ilocos Norte province, the People’s Republic of China donated 10 tons of rice to the provincial government here.

Gov. Carlos Padilla said the provincial government wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Laoag, headed by Consul Zhou Youbin.

Padilla added that the 10 tons consisted of 5,000 packs of 2 kilograms each of locally manufactured premium rice for the provincial government’s food-relief efforts and Covid-19 response.

Along with Provincial Social Welfare and Development officer Flordelina Granada and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management officer Robert Corpuz, the governor received the donation at the provincial capitol on Friday.
