BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (April 15)—More than 40,000 elderlies in the province are set to be inoculated with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccines soon.
Ranee Ganacias, National Immunization Program (NIP) coordinator, said master listing of senior citizens is now being done in their respective local government units.
“We are still waiting for the go signal from the Department of Health (DOH) for the forthcoming conduct of vaccination among elderlies,” she said.
Ganacias also advised elderlies with comorbidities to continue with their medications and show their medical records like doctor’s prescription issued and or discharge summary for the past 18 months to their respective barangay health stations.
“They will also be included for the vaccination program once green light will be given by the DOH,” she said.
Ganacias also bared that there are already 924 frontline health workers who were completely vaccinated while 3,530 were also given the first dose of vaccines.
She said the province has already received 2,155 doses of Sinovac vaccines and 2,010 AstraZeneca vaccines.
Ganacias further said that vaccination for more than 5,000 Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams or BHERTs in the province is now being done.
