TUPAD workers in NVizcaya receive P8.3M pay

BAGABAG, Nueva Vizcaya (March 9)—The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) yesterday distributed wages for the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program workers in this town.

DOLE officials handed P11,100 each to the 749 TUPAD as wages for rendering 30-day various community work.

Most of the TUPAD workers were given a daily wage of P370, the minimum wage rate in the Cagayan Valley region while another beneficiary received P5,550 for 15 days of work.

DOLE Officer-In-Charge Elizabeth Martinez said they have released a total of P8,319,450 during the payout at the Bagabag Municipal Gymnasium.

Mayor Johnny Sevillena expressed full gratitude to the DOLE and vowed the local government unit’s support to the agency’s programs and projects for the benefit of their villagers.

The payout was witnessed by Ma. Annie Lynne Mondoñedo, Executive Assistant V, representing Regional Director Joel Gonzales and Assistant Regional Director Jesus Elpidio Atal Jr.
