Didipio Mine scholars join Brigada Eskwela 2022

KASIBU, Nueva Vizcaya (August 17)—Didipio Mine scholars have joined the ongoing Brigada Eskwela 2022 rendering services in their respective communities or alma maters.

Officials of the mine said the scholars’ activity was in preparation for the opening of classes this August and together with Didipio Mine employees, they have been visiting some schools in the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.

The activity was to support initiatives in creating safe learning environments for both learners and school staff, according to Didipio Mine officials.

Officials said the scholars extended community service as their way of giving back in the spirit of “Bayanihan.”

Some of the activities conducted were attendance to kick-off programs and provision of snacks, cleaning of school grounds and rooms, painting of school building roof, organizing of books and chairs, and transferring of school’s paraphernalia. (LCD)
