BY BENJAMIN MOSES M. EBREO

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya (June 28)—The provincial government and the Department of Health (DoH) yesterday opened the newly-constructed CTScan Center within the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital (NVPH) compound.

Dr. Arlene Jara, NVPH chief, said the CTScan Center which was constructed on January 20, 2021 and completed on November 9, 2021 was funded by the provincial government with P5 million as its counterpart.

She said the DOH provided the scanning machine, computers, scanner work station, electrical supply equipment and other laboratory accessories, among others.

“This project has been supported by the DOH through the Health System Enhancement Program. This will be manned by our trained laboratory technicians,” Jara said.

Dr. Grace Santiago, DOH Regional Director, in her message read by Jan Tugadi, DOH Provincial Coordinator praised the NVPH and the PLGU for the establishment of the CTScan Center.

Inumpisahan itong ipatayo noong January 20, 2021 at natapos noong November 9, 2021. CMP FB PAGE

“I salute the efforts of the PLGU and NVPH. The Covid-19 pandemic did not dampen your dedication and commitment to pursue this project. This will be a major health facility that will benefit Novo Vizcayanos,” she said.

Governor Carlos Padilla said the CTScan Center is one of the health facility buildings being constructed within the NVPH compound to further boost the needed various health services for Novo Vizcayanos.

He thanked the Maddela Family for donating a lot which paved the way for the expansion of the NVPH’s health facilities.

“But these are facilities that need our dedication and commitment to serve our patients well. Let us then give our whole-hearted service for the comfort of our patients,” Padilla told health workers.
