BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (November 17)—The more than P2 billion local expenditure program (LEP) of the provincial government here was approved for the year 2023 after a weeklong deliberation.

Vice Gov. Jose Gambito said this was the fastest-ever approval of the budget in the province on Monday, November 14.

“This was truly a historic accomplishment of the provincial local government for having deliberated the LEP in just a matter of a few days without having to hurdle any objections,” Gambito said.

He added that the deliberation was also without unwanted insertions.

He explained that the LEP of this province contained a balanced allocation of the budget for 2023 programs, projects, services and activities of the provincial government.

Gambito assured that all Novo Vizcayanos will benefit from the budget which will be implemented by the local chief executive.

“No sector will be left behind and we made sure that they will be provided with the needed budget for their programs, projects, services and activities, among others,” he added.

Gambito lauded the leadership of Board Member Patricio Dumlao Jr. for leading the ad-hoc committee as well as other Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) members, local finance committee, provincial local government division and department heads for the smooth deliberation of the LEP.
