TUGUEGARAO CITY (November 17)—The local government unit (LGU) of Buguey town in Cagayan province has donated a 4.6-hectare lot area at Barangay Villa Leonora in the said town to Cagayan State University (CSU) for its fishery extension program.
CSU President Urdujah Alvarado said the CSU and LGU Buguey joined arms for the re-establishment of a CSU Buguey Extension to extend the cause of quality education to the municipality.
Alvarado said the LGU Buguey led by Mayor Licerio Antiporda 3rd purchased the said area for the establishment of the CSU College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences Buguey Extension.
The CSU president received the donation on behalf of the CSU community with the signing of the deed of donation during the celebration of the 1st Crab Festival of the LGU on October 29, 2022.
Alvarado said representatives of CSU and LGU Buguey also met on September 8, 2022, where a memorandum of agreement was signed which solidified the proposition.
The CSU Buguey Extension will be under the management of Dr. Simeon Rabanal, CSU Aparri Campus executive officer.
