QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya (December 17, 2023)โCelebrating the Christmas season, the British FCF Minerals Corp. through the Social Corporate Responsibility partnered with the Nueva Vizcaya Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) office during the 2023 Information Education and Communication (IEC) 4th Quarter Event from December 5 to 7, 2023.
Rodalyn Arcebal, FCF Minerals IEC supervisor, said the 4th IEC event was a heartwarming gift-giving activity benefitting some 878 children in Nueva Vizcaya including Quirino province, this time in collaboration with the IPMR office headed by Board Member Samuel Balinhawang.
Anchored on the theme โ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ข๐๐จ๐ ๐ค ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐๐ ๐ฝ๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ค๐ซ๐ค ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฃ๐ค,โ Arcebal said this has resonated throughout the seven elementary schools in the towns of Santa Fe, Dupax del Sur, Ambaguio and Kayapa.
She said FCF also conducted the same activity in Barangay Don Mariano Perez in Diffun town in the neighboring province of Quirino on December 13, 2023.
โBelieving that the true magic of Christmas is seen through the eyes of children, the gift-giving ceremonies took place in seven elementary schools in Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino provinces,โ Arcebal said.
These schools were the Atbu Elementary School and Tactac Elementary School in Santa Fe town; Ganao Elementary School in Dupax del Sur town; Hukhukyong Elementary School in Ambaguio town; Kayapa East Elementary School and Kayapa West Elementary School in Kayapa town; and Eden Elementary School in Diffun, Quirino.
โFun-filled games added joy to the festivities, making children laugh and win prizes like candies and chocolates,โ Arcebal said.
The festivities included a brief conduct of an informational campaign about the company led by Arcebal together with Marjorie Bausa, IEC facilitator.
It was attended by parents, teachers, and local government representatives thanking FCF Minerals for extending the companyโs Christmas gift-giving event in their schools.
The distribution of gifts was joined by representatives from various departments of FCF Minerals and provincial IPMR personnel spreading the spirit of generosity and joy this holiday season. LEANDER C. DOMINGO
