QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya—A national youth organization that aims to advocate responsible mining and its proper utilization of the environment and its natural resources and mining engineering students visited the FCF Minerals Corporation at the Runruno Gold Project (RGP) site here on May 17, 2025.
During the visit, eight members of the Philippine Youth Association for Responsible Mining and Natural Resources (Yaman Philippines) witnessed the company’s best practices in mining operations, mining forest, residual storage impoundment and process plant operations.

FCF Information, Education and Communication supervisor Rodalyn Arcebal said the Yaman Philippines’ visit included a tour at the mine site followed by a discussion about the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) of the company’s Community Relations.
FCF also showcased its 2024 SDMP accomplishment to the visitors.
Yaman Philippines thanked the company for the warm hospitality and the shared knowledge of the technical staff, “as they enlightened us and gained valuable insights into the company’s responsible mining practices.”
On May 3, 2025, members of the Saint Louis University Mining Engineering Society (SLU MinES) also conducted their educational tour at the RGP site.

Arcebal said the site visit offered SLU MinES students a firsthand look into the real-world applications of the theories and concepts they have studied in the classroom.
“It deepened their understanding of mining operations and provided valuable insights into the industry – bridging the gap between academic learning and practical experience,” she said.
At the end of the tour, the SLU students also thanked the company for the wealth of knowledge shared, which they noted would be instrumental as they prepare to become future professionals in the mining sector.
