BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya—Governor Jose Gambito issued a Designation Order appointing King Webster Balaw-ing, Community Affairs Officer III, as Acting Provincial Administrator of this province.
According to the order dated December 10, 2025, Balaw-ing will assume the duties and functions of the Provincial Administrator in addition to his regular responsibilities, effective immediately. The designation is valid for one year unless revoked earlier.
A pastor’s kid, Balaw-ing expressed his gratitude for the appointment, stating, “I am deeply honored by this appointment and grateful that the governor, in exercising his prerogative, placed confidence in my previous work.”
He added that “although this is a different role altogether, I will work hard to honor the trust and confidence placed in me.”

As Acting Provincial Administrator, Balaw-ing will serve as the governor’s alter ego and work closely with department heads.
He acknowledged the challenges of the role, but expressed confidence in his ability to perform, citing his previous experience as acting Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management officer.
“I have worked with many of the department heads before, and I hope that the good working relationship and respect I previously had with them will be extended again as I take on this new role,” Balaw-ing said.
Balaw-ing stated that his priorities include streamlining government processes, particularly in procurement and payroll, and strengthening collaboration among provincial government agencies.
Gambito has directed him to advance the administration’s agenda and implement key projects, ensuring that commitments made to Novo Vizcayanos are realized.
“The Provincial Administrator plays a critical role in advancing the provincial government’s agenda and ensuring the success of its legacy-building efforts,” the governor added.
