Lantion orders mandatory swabbing for market vendors

EBREO BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (September 17)—Mayor Ralph Lantion here has ordered a mandatory coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) swabbing for all vendors of this town's public market as part of its efforts to prevent and contain the transmission of the virus. On Wednesday, Lantion issued Executive Order No. 34 Series of 2020 also ordering a five-day closure of the public market to pave the way for the swabbing among vendors. PNP records 70% crime rate hike after ECQ

BACCAY TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (September 14)—After the implementation of the Luzonwide Enhanced Community Quarantine, the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Region 2 has recorded 70 percent increase in the crime incidents in the Cagayan Valley region. Edward Guzman, Regional Operations and Management Division chief, reported to the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) members that the police has recorded a total of 4,917 crime incidents from May 1 to August 31 this year, an increase by 2,025 as compared to the 2,829 incidents recorded in the same period last year. UPDATE: NVizcaya Covid-19 cases jump to 186 with 6 deaths

DOMINGO BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya—Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in Nueva Vizcaya surged close to 200 on Sunday with the addition of 25 on Saturday and 19 on Sunday new cases, according to the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO). Dr. Edwin Galapon, PIHO chief, said the new cases bring the province of Nueva Vizcaya’s total Covid-19 recorded cases to 186 including six deaths since the outbreak in mid-March of which 145 are active cases. According to the PIHO, of the 145 active cases, 105 are from Solano town, 20 from Bayombong, six from Quezon, five from Bagabag, five from Dupax del Sur, and one case each in Bambang, Villaverde, Aritao, and Santa Fe. Covid-19 claims 6th death in Vizcaya, 25 new cases

Dr. Edwin Galapon, Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief, confirmed the latest fatality as CV 854, a 50-year-old male from Purok 2, Lactawan, Solano town. He said CV 854 died yesterday at 3.35 p.m. at the Region 2 Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC) with severe pneumonia. DOMINGO, TMT BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya: Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in this landlocked province surged above 150 on Saturday with the addition of 25 new cases, according to the Provincial Integrated Health Office (PIHO).
