DENR distributes land titles in Cagayan Valley

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (June 17)—The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) has distributed a total of 2,383 patents to beneficiaries under the Malawakang Handog Titulo Program (MHTP). The land titles were distributed all over Cagayan Valley, which comprises the provinces of Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Isabela, Cagayan and the island province of Batanes, DENR Region 2 Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan said. Councilor dies as SUV falls from bridge

DOMINGO SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya (June 11)—A municipal councilor was killed after the sports utility vehicle (SUV) he was driving fell from a bridge in the upland town of Kasibu in this province on Friday morning, June 10. The Kasibu Municipal Police Station identified the fatality as engineer Alfredo "Samo" Tucpi 2nd, 49, a member of the Sangguniang Bayan in Kasibu and a resident of Barangay Poblacion in the said town.
