DENR Region2 intensifies forest protection in Region 2

GWENDOLYN BAMBALAN, DENR Region 2 Executive Director TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (September 16)—The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) has appealed to the public to report the alarming cases of environmental illegal activities ordering its men a more intensified forest protection. “I would like to appeal to the public to report to the nearest DENR office any illegal environmental activities for us to alert our concerned officials and conduct immediate verification or investigation to reported issues," said DENR Region 2 Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan. TUGUEGARAO CITY (September 15)—The Provincial Veterinary Office has started hands-on training on the production of animal feed formulation at the Cagayan Animal Breeding Center and Agri-Tourism Park in Zitanga, Ballesteros town in Cagayan province. Provincial veterinarian Noli Buen said they have started these past few days the training for government employees to learn how to process feed milling formulation as an alternative food for animals and to make the cost of breeding lower. TUGUEGARAO CITY (September 14)—Mayor Maila Ting-Que has ordered the city's traffic management group to penalize drivers who park illegally on city streets. Ting-Que said she already instructed the Tuguegarao City Traffic Management Group (TCTMG) to issue tickets starting September 19 to all those who violate parking regulations. The order was prompted by the traffic jam outside the Police Regional Office (PRO) 2 on Monday due to the parking of vehicles on both sides of the road.
