Runruno Barangay Captain John Babliing said the "Gulayan sa Minahan" Project of the company is already showing concrete results, citing initial report of the mining firm. "Based on their report, they were able to harvest 50 kilos of assorted vegetables, two months after its planting," he said. Babliing expressed optimism that other areas will also be replicated to form part of the livelihood projects of villagers in barangay Runruno and nearby communities. DPWH implements flood control projects in southern NVizcaya

EBREO ARITAO, Nueva Vizcaya (August 10)—The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) here is currently implementing flood control projects in the province's southern part to mitigate flooding during the rainy season. Glen Miguel, DPWH 2nd District engineer, said the construction of Santa Fe River Flood Control Structures along Villaflores Section in Santa Fe town is now at more than 88.95 percent accomplished while the other project at Barangay Calitlitan in Aritao is already more than 85.36 percent done. Miguel said these projects were funded under the 2020 General Appropriations Act with a total allotment of P38.544 million.
