DA, Bambang govt give free tilapia fingerlings, rice seeds to farmers

Mayor Pepito Balgos said the assistance by the DA was timely considering that the farmers in the municipality have been badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. "They have been suffering a lot due to the adverse effect of the Covid-19 in our agriculture, trade, commerce and industry. These helps will enable them to cope with the hard times brought by the pandemic," he said. Covid-19 cases going down in NVizcaya

BY LEANDER C. DOMINGO BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (May 4)—The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in this province is now on a downtrend, according to health officials here. Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer, said that as of May 2, there were 342 active Covid-19 cases based on RT-PCR results with 16 new confirmed cases. He said the province also recorded a total of 2,563 confirmed Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic last year that peaked for the past nine weeks since March 1 this year and posted Nueva Vizcaya's positivity rate at 16.47 percent.
