Mayor Pepito Balgos said the assistance by the DA was timely considering that the farmers in the municipality have been badly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. "They have been suffering a lot due to the adverse effect of the Covid-19 in our agriculture, trade, commerce and industry. Covid-19 cases going down in NVizcaya

BY LEANDER C. DOMINGO BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (May 4)—The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in this province is now on a downtrend, according to health officials here. Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer, said that as of May 2, there were 342 active Covid-19 cases based on RT-PCR results with 16 new confirmed cases. He said the province also recorded a total of 2,563 confirmed Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic last year that peaked for the past nine weeks since March 1 this year and posted Nueva Vizcaya's positivity rate at 16.47 percent.
